
Christine Albrecht, soprano
Christine Albrecht is a soprano, composer, and pianist from San Jose, California. She obtained her BA in Chemistry and Music Composition at St. Olaf College, where she spent time in almost every choir but the St. Olaf Choir and studied composition under Timothy Mahr and Mary Ellen Childs. As a composer, she has premiered choral music and art song in the US and Canada, finalling in the art song division of the American Prize and becoming the youngest-ever composer accepted to the Source Song Festival in 2022. She returned to the Bay Area in 2023 to get her MS in Chemistry from USF, which she graduates from in June 2025. She is currently a member of the San Francisco Choral Artists and the parish choir of the Episcopal Church of St. Mary the Virgin, and finds time to compose whenever she can (which will hopefully be significantly more once she finishes graduate school).

Emma Mackenzie, soprano
Emma MacKenzie has been singing as a soprano in choirs since she was 8 years old, including the San Francisco Girls Chorus, the Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum, and the San Francisco Bach Choir. She has performed in several opera productions as both a choral member and a soloist (The Magic Flute, Ainadamar, Vireo: the Spiritual Biography of a Witch’s Accuser), as well as choral masterworks with orchestra, such as the Mozart Requiem, Verdi Requiem, and Monteverdi Vespers. Outside of singing, Emma works as a research assistant in a microbiology lab.

Emma Powell, soprano
Emma Powell is a soprano from Alameda, CA. She graduated summa cum laude from Ithaca College with a dual B.M. in Vocal Performance and Music Education. Her previous choral engagements include singing with the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers and Cayuga Vocal Ensemble of Ithaca, NY, participating in the Seraphic Fire Professional Choral Institute at the Aspen Music Festival, and spending twelve years as a member of the San Francisco Girls Chorus. Her favorite pasta shape is farfalle.

Audrey Chandler, alto
Audrey Chandler is a passionate music theorist, educator, and all-around musical person. She currently works for the San Francisco Girls Chorus as their Chorus Operations Manager and Music Theory Instructor. Audrey graduated with a B.A. in Music from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was the proud recipient of the departmental citation and Matthew William Fisher Memorial Award for her outstanding scholarship in the department. Her vocal experience includes over 10 years of training with the San Francisco Girls Chorus and studies in experimental jazz improvisation under the tutelage of beloved Bay Area jazz clarinetist Ben Goldberg. Audrey is truly enjoying the opportunity to stretch her choral muscle and sing in community with her peers in Nebula Consort.

Elisabeth Fortescue-Hall, alto
Elisabeth Fortescue-Hall, mezzo-soprano and San Francisco native, received her Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music (2023), and graduated from the Ruth Asawa SF School of the Arts (2019). Her teachers include Rhoslyn Jones (SFCM), Juliana Gondek (UCLA), and Victor Cervantes (Inspire Music). Elisabeth performs in many styles including Classical, Musical Theater, Early Music and Jazz. Notable ensembles and theater companies include
Seraphic Fire, Tesserae Baroque Ensemble, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Lamplighters Music Theater, and Pocket Opera. She currently teaches voice at RASOTA and Inspire Music. To keep in touch, find her on instagram @lissy.mariann.

Cadence Strange, alto
Cadence Strange, countertenor, is a native of the Bay Area. He currently sings at the Cathedral of Christ the Light under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey Parola. He began his musical studies with the 3 time GRAMMY Award-winning Pacific Boychoir Academy, where he has toured abroad to Ecuador, Ireland, Spain, and Peru. He is finishing his first year attending the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance and Opera studies under the direction of Professor Rhoslyn Jones.

Christian Winzenread, tenor
Christian Winzenread is a San Francisco-based tenor and has performed all over the bay area. He is proficient in many musical styles, including musical theatre, oratorio, choral, and operetta. He currently studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Luke Shalz, tenor
Luke Shalz is a tenor, keyboardist, and choral conductor from the East Bay. He directs music at St. Dominic’s Church in Benicia, leading three choirs including a professional Schola Cantorum. He previously served at St. Philip’s in San Francisco. Luke is a founding member of The Strange Octet, a Gen-Z men’s ensemble focused on Renaissance music and spirituals. He also leads Gregorian chant and other sacred music for liturgies across the Bay Area. Luke’s musical education is rooted in a lifetime immersed in sacred music. Luke is also completing degrees in Political Science and Classics at UC Davis.

Max Marcus, tenor
Max Marcus is a singer, composer/arranger, cellist, and former middle-school music teacher originally hailing from Seattle, Washington. Max is a graduate student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music studying composition with David Conte.

Andrew McIver, bass
Andrew McIver is a recent graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of music, where he earned his Bachelors in Composition with David Conte. As a lifelong choral music enthusiast, he has taken a vocal approach to his own compositions, as well as the works he plays on the piano. Now, as a performer in the Bay Area, he works with ensembles including the San Francisco Symphony Chorus and the Archbishop’s Schola, as well as conducting and accompanying the parish choir at the Episcopal Church of St. Mary the Virgin.

Chris Martin, bass
Christopher Martin is a conductor, singer, and composer originally from Berkeley, California. Most often, Chris can be found teaching in the Vocal Department at Ruth Asawa School of the Arts or conducting at the San Francisco Girls Chorus. He sings in the schola cantorum of the Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland, and joined Volti SF in their 2023-2024 season. As a composer, he has had recent premier performances from Liberty Ridge Elementary Choir (through the Sing Me a Story project) and from Left Coast Chamber Ensemble. Outside of music, he is proud to volunteer with the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program, in support of youth in the dependency court system. Chris holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition and in Choral Church Music from St. Olaf College (Northfield, MN).

Julian Nesbitt, bass
Oakland, California native Julian Nesbitt maintains an active performance schedule, singing regularly with San Francisco Symphony Chorus, Grace Cathedral Choir of Men and Boys, Afterglow Chorus, and most recently, Nebula Consort.
An alumnus of Oakland’s esteemed Pacific Boychoir Academy, Julian began his formal music training at age eight and spent ten years performing in the Grammy Award–winning ensemble. He would go on to study Music and Environmental Science at Santa Clara University, where he sang with the SCU Chamber Singers, the university’s premier choral group.

Andy Stellar, bass
Andy Stellar is a singer and performer from Fort Worth, Texas. He is interested in pursuing local performance opportunities and a graduate degree in Vocal Performance in the next few years. His most recent performances were in July when he attended the Trentino Music Festival. Andy performed the roles of Melisso in Handel’s “Alcina”, and Gideon in Mark Adamo’s “Little Women”. Andy has been singing in choir for 17 years, having been part of the Texas Boys Choir growing up, various College choirs, the Voices of Fort Worth A Cappella Choir, and now Nebula Consort. He is excited to begin his first season in the group!

Eric Choate, conductor
Eric Choate is a San Francisco-based conductor, composer, and organist. He is professor of Choral and Organ music at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Director of Music at the Episcopal Church of St. Mary the Virgin.
